Silent Urpoar Rating: 10.0

It is truly the first important album its style to come out in 2007.  Full text...

Sputnikmusic.com Rating: 9.0

With Cities, Anberlin manage to improve and mature their core pop punk sound while introducing a softer side and experimenting with effects and a variety of instruments. Cities shines bright as both a phenomenal and original release.  Full text...

AbsolutePunk Rating: 8.9

With their third album, the Florida quintet has shattered everything I used to think about the band. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle, Cities display a vast improvement in every aspect. The drums hit harder, the guitars sound tighter, and Stephen Christian's vocals soar higher than every before. In other words, the overall sound of Anberlin is bigger than ever.   Full text...

PunkNews Rating: 8.0

Anberlin takes the catchiness of their pop-punk peers, the melodies of sugary pop acts, and fuses them with rock reminiscent of, but certainly not parallel to, U2 and fellow Christ rock heroes, Switchfoot.   Full text...

Aversion Rating: 6.0

Nobody looks to pop-punk to blow their mind or change their life anymore. Cities won't do either, but it doesn't aim to. It's here to fill your ears with bristling-guitar pop-punk melodies -- consider that a success.  Full text...

I absolutely love Anberlin, so when I first heard this album was finally coming out I was very excited. um to start with the anberlin albums keep getting harder and harder as far as music goes, so for some people thats bad, for those who like to rock hard thats good, for lyric readers, they are solid as well, not as christian as Anberlin once was but still give off some hints of being christians. Musically they can still play, and that is ultametly what counts I think. Good songs, newer music style, solid 8 of 10

Excellent album. Not a bad song on it really.
Ones to look our for: Well, pretty much all of them, but in particular, Adelaide, Dismantle. Repair., A Whisper and a Clamour and Hello Alone.

Really recommended.

I absolutely LOVE anberlin, especially this album. I like their earlier albums, but this one is my favorite, by far. It's almost the only thing I have been listening to since it came out. I really like Alexithymia, and I am surpsrised that not many people have said anything about it.
Overall amazing album. I was really impressed.

This album it's almost perfect, and with the others two predesecors make an amazing kick ass trilogy.
Alexithimia and a whisper and a clamour are my favourites songs, but the others are great too
