Few bands could achieve an artistic comeback via a covers album, but as this glorious record proves, there are few bands like Def Leppard.

This is a fitting tribute to the artists who inspired Def Leppard to become Def Leppard.

The really great thing about Yeah! is that it sounds both like Def Leppard and the artist they're covering..

Classic rockers Def Leppard clearly take their covers seriously, which is why they wisely opt for the former on their new tribute CD Yeah! -- with instantly addictive results.

Hot on the heels of a platinum-shipping best-of, Def Leppard finally shares the secret behind its '80s hitmaking and hair-styling: British glam rock. Feeling nostalgic, the pop-metal vets hand over a long-delayed covers set with hits from the Kinks ("Waterloo Sunset"), T. Rex ("20th Century Boy") and Sweet ("Hellraiser").

Back when the Arctic Monkeys were but a twinkle in their fathers' eyes, back when Jarvis Cocker was just a local eccentric teenager and back even before Phil Oakey asked two teenage girls if they wanted to be in his band, there was only one group which defined Sheffield music.

I felt a little weird buying a covers cd at first.Especialy by Def Leppard ? But, i thought what the hell. its something differant too try out. Damn, i get more impressed everytime i listen too it. Def Leppard does not try to ruin the the cuts at all. You can't beat the orignals .They just put in there own flavor. So, dare too be differant ....and give it a listen. I did !!!! |

Yeah! Def Leppard rocks! No Matter What! I just purchased the DVD "Rock Of Ages" I can't stop watching it, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" still blows me away. The in studio video of "No Matter What" is awesome! Cover tunes are a bit of a risk for any artist. Rod Stewart and Tina Turner are the true masters. We can now add Def Leppard to that list. Good job lads! |

Forget 4 stars. One of the best Lep albums of all time and instantly catchy! Def Leppard will always be the greatest rock and roll band of all time because they are BIG! They love what they do, their music and their instruments. They love their past. THEY ARE FRIENDS WITH EACH OTHER.
Anyway, if you haven't already, buy this CD now. It rocks and I guarantee you will love all the songs! YEAH! On comes a menacing new album. |

I'm a huge Def Leppard fan and I must say, I absolutely love this album. They took good old classic rock 'n' roll songs and put a lep twist on them. They didn't sell themselves out and I give them two thumbs up for that. |

I can sum this CD up in one word, WOW! At first I was bummed out that it wasn't new music, but I couldn't tell the differance. They added a blend of their own style, which made this an awesome CD. |

Def leppard, well YEAH!! Awesome album yet again. I was a little apprehensive at the beginning because these were covers and were supposed to have the def lepp sound on them. I was really impressed with almost all the tracks. I think (with all due respects to other bands of the same era and genre) they keep reinventing their music and don't sound stale and stereotype!! I only hope they add India to their concert map some time in the future!! Thanks Joe, Phil, the Ricks and Viv- you guys ROCK!!!!!! |
