Listening to the album was definitely worth it, I saw them live opening up for The All-American Rejects and i went on i-tunes and downloaded their album right away. Their sound is so unique, I absolutely love it.

Gym Class Heros is an amazing band. And they should get more credit. Their music is original and creative, and they aren't total sell-outs like a lot of the bands around nowa days. They have real personality.

The first time I heard or saw this band was on warped tour. SInce then I've bought every one of their albums. I did like papercut chronicles better but this album still stayed in my cd player and is put in often enough that I need a new copy. Their lyrics are real world and beliveable we all have days like some of their songs.

This band's music is really unique (hip hop/rap/emo rock). Their album As Cruel As School Children is based on school and I think everybody can relate to at least one of the songs. I do like this album more than their last album "The Papercut Chronicles" and my personal favorite is "Scandalous Scholastics", the lyrics are hilarious.

This band is phenominal, and those critics have no idea what they're talking about. The lyrics actually have meaning, and they're something I can relate to. The way they merge hip-hop with rock is something that I definately enjoy, because I'm a person who does not like any rap- except for GCH. These boys deserve more recognition for their skill, not a 2.0 rating. I even saw GCH in concert in October, and now I have become an even bigger fan. Long story short: GCH > YOU.

Gym Class Heroes, are amazing. This album is worth anyones time. I'm not usually one to listen to a whole album in one sitting, but i can just put it in my cd player and listen to it without getting bored. There original and one of the best bands out there atm. They deserve so much more credit.

This is a talented group with great and fresh music. Yeah there is always room for improvement with anyone but I think they don't get some of the recognition they derserve because critics are trying to categorize or pigeon-hold them into one genre and they're finding out the hard way that formula doesn't work with this group. There's nothing wrong with being different or "outside the box" and that's what makes this group's music such an awesome experience.

Gym Class heroes is AMAZING. I could listen to their songs day and night. Travis McCoy is an AMAZING rapper/singer. I hate rock music, and i'm into the hiphop/rap/r&b scence, but this is the only band i love which combines rock and hip hop. I love Gym Class Heroes and anyone who doesnt is entitled to their own opinion.

those supposedly professional critics need to relook the way they rate their CDs... cause they truly dont know what people like.. i don't know about you guys but I love this album.. the sound and everything is different.. the lyrics are awesome makes me want to fall in love with Travis .. people are always afraid of change.. Well, I'm going to have to agree that GCH could have done much better on this CD, but it seems like the professionals can't open their ears to something new. And Hip-hop listeners probably wouldn't listen to it because it's too emotional for them and doesn't have a 3-beat beat like most of their songs, so they're not used to it. But if you actually listen, Travis McCoy is an amazing lyric artist. These guys are something to watch and see what happens in the future.

Da f*ck? I dun know what most of these people reviewing are thinking...first of all GCH provides a great balance between rap and rock and they fit right in the middle and provide a solid bridge between the two genres. The "As Crewel As School Children" album is an upbeat change of pace from their previous "The Paperut Chronicles" album...you can't help but notice the versatility and genius of this group, they can cater to the emo crowd Ex. "The Papercut Chronicles" as well as the underground or mainstream hip hop Ex. "As Crewel As School Children", and I don't know if I'd take opinions on hip hop from a place called Punknews...and to be honest I listen to a large variety of the music genre spectrum, from groups such as Saosin, Minus The Bear, and Guns & Roses, which are obviously rock, to groups such as Gym Class, Souls of Mischief, Mos Def, and Bonethugs-n-Harmony...in all honesty GCH does not just fall next to groups such as Lincoln Park but I believe that Gym Class has proven them selves above them with their versatile sound and lyricism...and some of these so called music critics should learn how to criticize, not only with honesty, but also with respect and understanding for more than just one musical genre. Don't f*ckin compromise a groups integrity just to make your review look good...

I'm strictly hip-hop and I can't stand rock, but Gym Class Heroes are a new sound that I can just chill to. They don't try to be anything but themselves, and to me that's what makes them so great. No disrespect to other people's opinions, but I totally disagree with the people that gave this album a low rating.

i think that anyone who listened to their whole album and gives then anything less then an 10 is out of their mind!The GCH and by far my favorite new band!im mostly into Rap and i LOVE their music!and i hope that they never stop being them selves or stop doin wat they do!i also think that everyone of those critics need to just stop trying to classify them as hip hop/rock/emo or wat ever! they are unique and thats wat makes them so GREAT!!

I think that Gym Class Heros has their style down pat. They have a good mix of different genres coming at you at once. Not to mention Travis' nice flow, and grace lyrically. Overall the album is pretty good and I look forward to seeing even more from Gym Class Heroes!
