It's funny what 5 years can do to a band. Back in the days of The Young & The Hopeless the Madden twins et al scoffed at millionaires with their brand new cars and fancy things, yet now they epitomise the stereotype to a tee, name-dropping big money endorsements as if they were going out of fashion on latest album Good Morning Revival.

Sounds like growing up sucks even more than they originally thought it would.

Infectious, irritating, discoloured; Good Charlotte have all the makings of a fantastic venereal disease. 'Good Morning Revival' then: it's like chlamydia for your ears.

The truth is that Good Charlotte didn’t need to try this hard to sound so awful; they just needed to be as Good as they always were.

On their fourth and latest album, Good Morning Revival, this four-piece have jumped on the latest trend, which is the synth/dance-punk movement. How does this work out for them? Well, as this very site’s webmaster puts it: “Good Charlotte has lost it.”

Blindly, I used to like good charlotte(I was young seu me) but as I came more to identify my self with the music I loved it became more apparent that good charlotte wasnt that good. I admire that they stepped out and tried to do something new with thier music. But I still dont feel compelled to buy the album. |

people should give credit to GC more than they are doing...their album isn't as bad as they are saying, and does stand out from the popular emo style lyrics and music! GC write and sing their style, you either hate them for that or love it but i love them for who they are and their music |

you people will you just grow up? you people who thinks Good Charlotte sucks all have no ear for music. all you can do is to criticize the band's masterpieces. you just can't accept the FACT that all of you assholes who gives a 1.o rating are all just wrong. i challenge you suckers to make a song. we'll see who really sucks in grammar , lyric writing and originality. GROW THE FUCK UP. |

a little more "pop-ish" than their originals (shoot me if this isn't possible) but i thought the album was terrific. a handful of songs stuck out, and i appreciate the fact they they stepped up to do something different with their music, a lot of bands nowadays all sound so alike, its hard to recognize which is which on the radio. |
