Working once again with producer Howard Benson, Hoobastank balances heavy riffs with dark existentialism and hooks that closely imitate that of its breakthrough hit.  Full text...

Entertainment Weekly Rating: 7.5

The problem is an unlovely brutishness evident throughout: Every Man for Himself that opens with a drill sergeant barking Full Metal Jacket-style orders, features the repeated shrieks of ''Fight!'' on the track ''Without a Fight,'' and boasts a ''love song'' called ''Inside of You.''  Full text...

Billboard Rating: 7.0

Nearly every cut shoots for maximum radio mileage, and the album's lack of stimulation makes such pandering harder to overlook.  Full text...

Jam! Rating: 6.0

All that rock still isn't quite enough to overshadow the wussy power ballads, but it is enough to make Every Man for Himself the the first Hoobastank disc that stands on its own two feet.  Full text...

i am one of Hoobastanks big fans and i will always enjoy there music. so i dont think i could say bad about them. but if i had to id say that they sound the same through all three albums. its not a bad sound and im the kind of person who likes it when bands dont change all that much. and even though they lost their bassist id say tehy are just as good as when they still had him. if you are a Hoobastank fan then you will get this album. if you arent i dont think that you will.

This CD is smashing, especially "Born to Lead" and "Look where we are" both of which I found to be very inspirational.

Sparky Rating: 10.0

The CD is truely something spectacular. I went out on a limb when a friend told me to buy it. but I have not regreted it for one moment.

looking back to the past into theire first album, who was louder and better. with the years i guess.. unlike the rest of you here, i am able to see the change between each album.
i think the music in the last album got better and sharper, although they are not loud enough.
the lyrics are very touching and loveing, i'de admire you for that.

Absolutely awesome ! From start to finish , the album is a classic . From "Born to Lead" , to "Good Enough" , and the melodic ballad "If Only" , I beleive that they are maturing into one hell of an outfit

Ninel Rating: 9.0

This album is one of the best I have... i lovve the lyrics, in a way they are "deep". Kinda Inspirational. Really good though, I love "Born to lead".

Tom Rating: 10.0

This is the best album they have ever done, from start all the way to the finish, with the last two songs finishing the album of perfectly. I really don't understand why it has so many bad reviews, but that's what you get from critics who hardly like anything. Favourite song on the album is If Only. Can't wait for the next one.

Jerry Rating: 10.0

Indeed, This is the best album by hoobastank. I like many of the songs including "Born to lead" and "say the same" because they send a great message that everyone can relate too. Overall the songs are catchy and this is one of my all time favorite albums by any singer/band

Eric Rating: 10.0

I absolutly love this album. I can't stop listening to "Born to Lead" and "The First of me", as well as "Without a Fight". Out of the three CD's they have out so far, this is without a doubt the best so far.

Kaze Rating: 10.0

Don't quite know what possessed me to get this album, or the other two. But when I turned on my iPod and started listening, I was immediately hooked. I have many favorite songs from this album, such as "Born to Lead", "The First of Me", "Good Enough", "Look Where We Are", "If Only", and "More Than a Memory". A lot of songs, isn't it? Hoobastank is one of my favorites, and as is this album.

I really like this album! Simply amazing. especially the b-side! awesome album from start to finsh. my absolute favoite is"SAY THE SAME" because it tells a lot about how to end a relationship... properly. xD

EmoNemo Rating: 10.0

Most songs in this album you can relate to, especially when you're a trouble-struck teen. I love this album and know the all the lyrics by heart. "Every Man For Himself" is a must have for any Hoobastank fan.

Lorrellai Rating: 10.0

I think this is the best album of them so far. Not that the others were bad, no, especially The Reason was a very good album, but Every Man For Himself has some even better songs from other albums. My favorite songs are More Than A Memory, Moving Forward, If I Were You and Inside Of You. Well, all songs are awesome! :D
