Ha, I guess I'll be the first user to leave a negative comment. Well, I give credit to Lady Sovereign (sp?) for being original and wanting nothing more to be than herself. I also think that it's great that she raps about something else besides the usual: money and sex. On the contrary, the choruses are pretty weak, and her songs seem to contain the same rhyming schemes and topics. She mentions drinking and her rhyming skills in almost every song! She's young, so maybe her lyrics will expand and mature. We'll see in a year or two when the next CD comes out...

She has talent and attitude, and she just is good! no not just good, i think shes one of the best! the only downside is not that many ppl no of her, at least ppl i know. The look at me and say lady who? they havent heard of her, yet. and they dont no what there missing.

It's different and a bit refreshing in an industry where all things sound the same. For anyone else the beats and lyrics alike wouldn't mesh well but it seems tied together perfectly by her English accent. Although she hardly rhymes about anything relevant her flow is pretty interesting. Her Eminem-esque humor is good for a laugh. Overall its a solid album and good things are sure to come.

no offence "roxie", but obviously u dont no much about kids today. they noe more bad words then you could ever wish to noe and u wouldn't believe the curses that come outta kids mouths at school. its BEYOND ur every day vocabulary. so do u think they care if a CD has swears? hate to be the one to tell you but they probably dont care, hearing the words all the time. anyway, bac to my rating which is 0 but thats becuz i havent bought the album YET so i cant rate it. but lemme say, she's one fisty woman. she's not a "girl", she's 21 and to me thats defently considered a "woman". as for her music, i like the songs blah blah, love me or hat me, public warning, hoodie, random, 9 to 5...yea. my only problem is some of her music videos are too similar such as random and blah blah. Her musics good but less of the "it's lady soveriegn time!! uh uh uh uh's" and more actual content. she's defently entertaining though..

I've gotta say, I'm no hip-hop/rap fan by any stretch of the imagination, but Sov's definitely got something going on here. Tango, Hoodie, Love Me or Hate Me... she doesn't just sing those, from what I've seen of her she LIVES those philosophies, unlike other female musicians in popular music. You've got women like P!nk who say that hypersexuality is the driving force in a female musician's fame, and yet look at her single's covers (even the cover for the Stupid Girls single!) and there she is exposing herself in a sexual manner... doing what she says females shouldn't have to do to get attention. Sov, she defends the hoodie, and it shows in her styles and her image. She's grungy and lively... and a fresh idea in a genre that I feel has stagnated since the mid 1990s. While her wording is similar in many of her songs, I'm more than willing to stay tuned, because she really does have something big to say beneath all of those verbal pauses. I must say, Lady Sovereign's given me hope for this style of music, and I only hope that she can hone these lyrics of hers into something revolutionary.

I never heard of Lady Sovereign up until April 30th When she opened for Gwen Stefani. I was there with two of my friends. My one friend didn't like her at first(but changed her mind after the second song) me and my other friend fell in love with the girl instantly!Her attitude is real and her music is all her... she is original and knows how to keep it real! She is amazing ! She threw everyone when she did Public warning... It was amazing. I bought her album and have been rocking it for the past three days!! Loves her!!!
