"It Won't Be Soon Before Long" is the establishment of Maroon 5 as an institution in the pop world; a sophomore record that equals its breakout predecessor, and sometimes surpasses it.

Lead single "Makes Me Wonder" is a worthy successor to "This Love"; it's a catchy disco-rock confection with the elastic strut of Jamiroquai and the soul-pop warmth of Stevie Wonder. Singer Adam Levine delivers one kiss-off after the next, which range from nasty ("If I Never See Your Face Again," "Wake Up Call") to cordial and even reluctant ("Nothing Lasts Forever," "Better That We Break"); none of the songs exceed four minutes, and some even clock it at less than two-and-a-half, making the album an appropriately brief but decidedly sexually-charged encounter.

The result is a sophomore effort that’s not without merit but which needs to work much harder to achieve anything that’s really worth writing home about.

As good as the last and most likely even better in many ways. Again, Maroon 5 will be hitting the charts for many months to come |

This album is great. Every song has some type of emotion that you can connect. The faster songs have an upbeat feeling and the slower still make you feel good, no matter the lyrics. This is a CD that won't get old! No matter what the song it has a nice catchy tune that you can listen. These songs are the type that you WANT to be stuck in your head. |

This album is just as good as the last considering the last one was close to incredible. I thought it wouldnt come close to "Songs about Jane" but it really did live up. |

i absolutly adore this album. I am maroon 5's number one fan and love all there music, and i loved the more grown up feel to this album compared to songs about jane. There is a more upbeat type of sound with all the songs catchy. Great job maroon 5! |

It's an awesome album, and VERY catchy. Some people need to redefine catchy I guess. I think it is just as good as the first one, if not better! |
