Totally not what I expected! I refused to buy it for the longest time, but when I saw it on sale I had to get it (I love the song "Say it Right"). I was definitely supprised that I ended up liking it better than Gwen Stefanie's new CD (which is ok but definitely not as great as her first CD) and I'm a BIG Gwen fan! Good job Nelly. Do your thang girl!

I love Nelly's versatility. I think one should record what one is feeling at that moment and she did. Just because she makes an album like Loose doesn't mean she doesn't still feel "Powerless" or "Like a Bird", it just means she is still evolving and exploring all facets of Nelly. To those who says she has sold out I have one question: Do you personally know Ms. Furtado and have a place in her brain? A musician, sorry a good musician loves all kinds of music and is not afraid to explore.

People say just anything to criticize great artists like Nelly, who go out on a limb and expose all their vulnerabilities (along with their strengths, of course) to the entire world. Whatever Nelly may do, she is herself. She is not imitating anybody. She is not losing herself to sell herself to hip-hop fans and those who craze midriff-baring. Before criticizing Nelly, why don't those critics just reflect on themselves? No one would want THEM rapping wearing midriff.

I was a little disappointed! It's a good album.. a little more urban than I thought it would be! Her first and 2nd album where GREAT! This one is just so different! You can tell that someone else is now influencing her! It has boosted her skill as well! You can tell some trianing has been placed with this new album... I just wish she would go back to her roots and make more of stuff like her first album!

I simply don't understand why some people fail to appreciate the newest album. Listen to "Maneater" and "Te Busque" and "Say It Right," if you refuse to say nice things about that blockbuster "Promiscuous." I personally never get tired of "Loose," as well as the first two albums.
