There's been rumbling on the internet by some NIN fans that this album is somehow a disappointment, which leads me to question, are they listening?  Full text...

With Teeth arrives after another five-year break, during which Reznor got sober and crept up on his 40th birthday, but didn't alter his musical personality much. The expansive instrumentals that littered The Fragile are gone, and what's left is a tight, straightforward set of serviceable Nine Inch Nails songs, with brief moments of inspiration and lots of fan- and radio-friendly hooks.  Full text...

An amazing lyrics with dark, yet soothing lyrics. Definitely one of their best. With gut renching mechanics and amazing vocals from Reznor, "With Teeth" is sure to gain NIN some new fans, and also aquire them some new ones.

I really like all the NIN songs. I got into them when my Science teacher played thme in school one day on the last week of school. They are really cool and the lyrics are awsome. I really like the lyrics to Closer in the end.!!!!!!

DaiQuan Cain Rating: 10.0

I've been a NIN fan for a few years now and this is to date not only Renor but NIN's BEST ALBUM.

Andre Rating: 10.0

Sick music with a good rythm, sound, and very interesting lyrics obviously the best songs that are written thus far

Hate Machine Rating: 4.0

This is a good album and deffinatly has it's moments. There are several superb songs, however it is no Downward Spiral or Pretty Hate Machine. As a long time Nine Inch Nails fan they will always be my personal albums of choice. With Teeth and The Fragile sound like they have been done (or should have been) by a different band. This is a good album but nothing that made me speechless. Musicly it's very catchy, and much more user friendly then anything NIN have done before. If this was made by another band I would have enjoyed it more. But for NIN it is bit of a let down compared to previous (brilliant) albums.

I can not see many long time NIN fans enjoying this album, especially thoes who thought that The Fragile was a let down.

This album is one of the best. It isn't as great as Pretty Hate Machine or The Downward Spiral, but I think that this album is very underappreciated

I liked it. I mean, it's different from the other albums, yeah, but do you really want the same thing time after time? Even if you thought it was a letdown (I didn't, really) you have to admit he did pretty damn good.

It had me listening to it for enough time to say that it is very good. If it was much worse than the previous albums it wouldn't have caught the spotlight at all.

Izzy Ramone Rating: 10.0

I've been a fan for two years. My mom got me into them. The new album is great and got them new fans(such as myself). Trent's voice is a dark pool for anything beautiful to drown in and this this album doesn't change that but further proves my point.

I usually hate albums the first time I hear them, I just can't get into them until I learn some of the lyrics and structure of the songs. That being said, this was the first album in a while that I loved the very first time I heard it(though I do have to say the first time I heard Hand that Feeds of on the radio I didn't like it)
It definately is different than a lot of NIN previous stuff but its not like it came out of nowhere.

Rikku Rating: 7.0

Far too many blind fanboys and girls here. Don't give it a 10 and say that it deserves it because "TRENT REZNOR IS AWESOME HE'S SO DEEP AND I LOVE HIM!!<333"
I've been an NIN fan now for about...4 years I think. Well my first taste of Reznor's musical powerhouse that is Nine Inch Nails was The Downward Spiral. From the opening track "Mr. Self Distruct" to the final notes of "Hurt," this is truly one of the greatest albums of the 90's.
With the arrival of 2005's "With Teeth" came many speculating eyes and wary listeners. Many were disappointed with "The Fragile" (I however, was not). I think that WT is either a "love it or hate" kind of deal. Long time fans may be very disappointed with where NIN is going, but newer fans will find the catchy hooks in some of the songs very enjoyable.
I think that having listened to them for only about 4 years I'm right in the middle. I'm not a long time hardcore fan, but I'm hardly a newbie.
I guess all I can say is give it a listen. Take it or leave it.

First off I want to say that I am a die-hard NIN fan. "The Fragile" was my all-time favorite album by any band while most fans call it a "mis-step", which is complete BULLSHIT. It had a HUGE variety of artful song and sound with just a little darkness.
That being said, "[WITH_TEETH]" was not a disappointment for me. It had some bland moments that I've never heard from NIN before and a less ambient sound than "The Fragile", but on the whole it is a good album with some great moments. The only disappointing things about it were the sraightforwardness of the songs (verse, chorus, verse, chorus) and the almost total lack of instrumental aesthetics. Even though some of the songs had lots of feeling (especially "Right Where it Belongs"), they were somewhat void of artful drive. However, in my opinion, this is the only NIN album in history to get less than a 9.
