Now It’s Time, while not exactly the same sound, is still helmed by the same talent.  Full text...

StylusMagazine Rating: 6.7

Instead of the Patsy Cline swoops of albums past, Frazer embraces a folk vibe that’s more Sandy Denny than sweetheart of the rodeo.  Full text...

Frazer's voice is almost distracting; you're so transfixed by the voice itself that it is only with difficulty that you can consider equally important things like songwriting, lyrics and instrumentations.  Full text...

Now It's Time is easy on the ears, but hard on the memory.  Full text...

Paula Frazer's voice is sublime and she uses it to beautiful effect on this CD. The only reason I didn't give her a 9 is because I don't absolutely like every song, but there are some, like August Song, Sleeping Dreams and First Song, that I have listened to over and over becaue they're so well sung and orchestrated, and because the lyrics are very meaningful. I have to disagree with those who say her voice is distracting or that none of the songs are memorable - as some professional critics have said too. I honestly don't know what they're complaining about. If you liked Paula's previous CDs, like Leave the Sad Things Behind, you'll like this one too. In fact, I've been wondering what a team of her and Brandi Carlile might do in a duet. Wouldn't that be a song to remember?!
