This album is a triumph, but then its chief architect would tell you that for nothing.

It's Borrell's bid for Bono-stature. Except it's actually good

The nostalgia drenched melodicism of these songs will ensure they go down a storm with Chris Evans and his drivetime cronies at Radio 2.

This second album, then, finds Razorlight following a plan set in place by a sales-boosting appearance on ‘Parkinson’ in 2004: to sound bigger (U2 sized) and appeal to grown up Libertines fans, Oasis lads and Radio 2 listeners alike.

This is a surprisingly mellow record, considering what came before.

Did you know Johnny Borrell was kicked out of The Libertines for being "too boring"?

It's not so much that much of Razorlight is bad exactly, it's just very ordinary.

A mere listen to Razorlight will remind one that the word ‘sensational’ can also mean ‘presenting information in a way that is intended to provoke public interest and excitement, at the expense of accuracy.

If I had never listened to Up All Night this would be Genius, its still good Johnny Vocals are different its very mellow in places. Some top tunes though, In the Morning one of their best tracks. Some of the b sides to the new albums singles are actully better than the album tracks. |

Oh dear.. Razorlight are back and yes they've released a huge success with "In The Morning" but alas the follow up once again is nothing short of a disappointment, come on gents, when you write 12 songs for an album, you write 12 good songs, not a good song and anything else you find. They may aswell have written down the ingredients on the side of a cereal packet. they'd sell more records if they did! |

I can't believe razorlight coud put togetheran album like this, and fail to come number 1 on the chart. The album is amazing, and i don't know what the hell 'WeBBo' is on about. Have you never actually listened to "America"? This is the best album of the year, and anybody stupid enough to think that razorlight are a one hit wonder can go listen to some of the crappy albums released this year and then make your mind upabout them. The outcome will be simple - RAZORLIGHT'S ALBUM ROCKS! |

Not a great return for the Razorlight boys. Well who really thought they had the talent to write another decent album.

I loved Up All Night, and if i hadn't heard it in a while, the second album doesn't sound too bad. but when hearing up all night, then the second album, it doesn't compare. it has its good songs, and its less then great ones. i still love razorlight though- |

the first razorlight song i heard was america, and i thought that was ok, so in a fit of madness i went out and bought the first and second album and loved them. the music is good but the lyrics not so much. its still an album i can listen to all the way through.. 35 minutes its a bit short for 2 years, though |
