it was a good album but they cant compare themselves to the projects they were originally from. I mean G'n'R , Metallica And Motley Crue were and still are some of the most influential bands of our time and though i enjoy listening to the album its not like its the best thing ive ever heard.

I swear, people slag on the winners of the "Rock Star" show more than they do the rejects on "American Idol." Listen without prejudice, and this is a quality album; I especially enjoy the retro feel. I certainly hope this is not a one-off project. I'd be interested in hearing what the full band could concoct with ample time and input from all four members.

i watched the show and loved the fact that lukas won coz i loved him on it soooo much and i expected so much from the cd but the songs sound the same and the lyrics arent as good as i have hoped all and all though its not bad but not the best like i wanted.

The album is amazing, every track is unique. I just hope that TLee do not leave the Crue cause he is the Crue. I saw him 4 times in the last year and he/they were fantastic. As for Supernova, great album, going to be a outstanding show. See you at Massey Hall. Cheers

It's interesting that the listeners love this cd yet the so called 'voice of the people' or 'reviewers' can't find anything they like about the album. Personally I thought this was a solid album with no fillers that like people that have already reviewed this have said can be listened to many times with out trouble.

Song for Song this is a pretty damn good. Each song kepps you sparked just enough. Lukas was the obvious choice and his lyrical talent is clear. I would like too see stronger guitar chords at times. Tommy does a fine job. Would love too see and hear a second album from these guys. thanks

I loved this album, i bought it on the day it came out. I literaly pushed people out of the way just to get it. I can never get enough of it. Lukas Rossi never disapoints. I'm so glad they chose him because he fits in perfectly with the band and his voice is amazing. My favouritists song on the album are: Be Yourself (And 5 Other Cliches), It's All Love, Can't Bring Myself To Light This Fuse, Underdog, Make No Mistake...This Is The Take & Headspin. But i still love the whole album of course. Congrats guys, can't wait for the next album. :).

Well I gotta say i wasn't in a hurry to get this and I didn't expect much from 3 guys who played minor roles in the writing in their former superstar bands, and a winner of a very entertaining talent contest. However much to my Surprise, this album is solid. Several stand out tracks. Love Dead Parade and Underdog. More writing like the bridge in Underdogs and I'd give it a 10.

I think these guys are great. As Joker said, they aren't their original bands (GNR, Crue, Metalica) but a unique sound. Lukas has an exciting voice. I watched them in concert last weekend -- pay no attention to the critics; they put on an awesome show!

My rating of the CD is 10... my rating of the show is 100!!!! Way to go guys!!! What an amazing amazing amazing effort... don't let the "pro" reviews put you down, 'cause what counts are the fans... and the fans are behind you 300%... album has gone platinum in Canada already... and it's only been on the market for 2 months... and that's about how long the band has been in existence as well... has this happened before? Can't wait for album #2... and the next tour as well!!!!! HELL YEAH!!!!

I love this album. I think the show was great and I am a big fan of the guys since many years. What bugs me with reviews is that it seems to be the same narrowminded people writing them as the people that think metal is satan (or whatever) Why whould you even compare early Metallica with anything that comes out today? I still think Jason, Lee and Gilby are great musicians, they probably didn´t make an album that is going to end up on the "top 100 records of all time" but a great album is enough for me.

Lukas is amazing and I watched the show since the beginning and I knew that Supernova would choose him, he has the style that they were looking for, and this album wouldnt be this awesome if he wasnt on it. This was a really solid debut. The songs that were first seen on the show, the first 5 songs on the disc are outstanding. once you get past those ones the songs are catchy and lukas sounds amazing, but the lyrics just get weak. overall though, very good album

Personally, I love this album. I watched the show from Day One, and althogh I didn't really like Lukas, he definatly pulled out the stops with this album. It's not often that you can just listen to all the songs on an album without skipping around. I think this was extremly well done, and fervently recomend it!

Jim Harrington of InsideBayArea.com reviewed ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA's headlining performance at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California Thursday night (February 22). An excerpt from his review follows: "The reality for ROCK STAR SUPERNOVA ever since the TV show ended in September, has been pretty harsh. Setting the tone was the band's self-titled debut, which after its November release failed to even break into the Top 100 of the Billboard album chart and has since completely faded from view. "The latest slap in the face for the group came during the Oakland date, which drew one of the smallest crowds I've ever seen during 25 years of visiting the arena. Only a couple of thousand fans, at best, turned out to a venue that can hold well over 15,000. In other words, this show should have been held at the Warfield or some other small theater. They made a big mistake with not choosing Dilana. A true front person for a band.

Great album, Lukas is an excellent singer. Most of the critics are basing their reviews on what Tommy, Jason, and Gibley were a part of before. I agree with sloshBOG. I think that a couple of the songs were written by Lukas (besides Headspin) but otherwise they were probably just left over songs from Tommy's solo project. I wish Lukas wrote more

Love the album. I just wish they had put more of Lukas'own songs on the album.I personally feel like the album would have done much better with songs like Lukas' "CRAVE ME" and the many others I have found on the Internet. If you haven't heard any of his other songs,I highly recommend you check them out. You won't be disappointed,I promise. The boy has TALENT.

The only people that do not like this album are those that had another favorite on the show and the critics. Other favorites people, get over it your choice didn't win...for a good reason... they were not good enough!! Critics if you got paid more would your tune change... bet it would!! It's all about the money folks, they aren't paying enough so they don't get the good reviews and the Cd's get "lost" in the stores. Do what I do, ignore the critics, listen for myself and make up my own mind. If I listened to the reviews, I wouldn't be listening to music any more because they advocate the same old dull stuff over and over.

I've listened to the album a few times and it pretty much sucks, the lyrics are just awful.. who wrote this jibber jabber?? Some songs are actually painful to listen to..'Underdog' for example. It's not hard enough, full of fillers(all chorus) and sounds just plain weird...Lukas is a total mismatch for these wannabe's and is too good for them...Go solo Lukas!!

I think this album is like nothing that's out there right now, I know that's "cliche" to say, but it's truthful, I think it's orginal and it has its own sound, maybe that's why it doesnt get as much rediculous, no one could have achieved wharecognition as it truly deserves. I might even say it's genious. People look at Tommy, Gilby and now Johnny as has-beens. That's t they have in the past, and I believe they still have somethin', Lukas is new and fresh, he is the face, talent and sound of the future.. I'd watch out for him, and what RSSN has for the future. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and this is mine. Negative or positive you have yours. I have and will forever back up these boys with supporting them. I've gotten shit for being a fan of them from people I have known for years and people I don't even know, and although I don't know them personally I love each of these guys as RSSN and what they have done and been in and with in the past. I am a true fan, and no one's opinion will change that or make me re-think what I have just said. I saw them in concert January 27, 2007, and it was amazing.. pure badass let me tell you. Everyone at the show rocked. To the boys - If you ever read this! You are amazing, I love the album, can't wait to see what comes out next - I believe in you guys and your strength you have together.. Lets rock this bitch and show everyone whats up ;) I love you guys, you're an inspiration to me, Lukas especially.... I loved watching the show on T.V. when they were trying to find a vocalist. As soon as I saw Lukas on T.V., I fell in love with him instantly. I'm always driving my parents crazy, telling them I love Lukas. As soon as my dad gave me the tickets to the Rock Star supernova concert back in January, I was so shocked that I started crying. I loved listening to them in convert and I would love to meet Lukas for real! I'm always listening to their CD. I don't give a fuck what all of the girls on here have to say. I'm the BIGGEST FAN OF LUKAS ROSSI NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SAY YOU ARE!! ME-BIGGEST-FAN-OF-LUKAS-ROSSI!Ha, beat that you bitches! I love listening to supernova, and I hope they come back to Michigan again! I love Lukas, hope supernova continue to do a great job, and I love them ALL!
