So, until the ice starts cracking, we’re pleasantly stuck on the "Rosenrot" ship and our stay already seems to be quite... interesting!  Full text...

Playlouder Rating: 8.0

So on 'Rosenrot' Rammstein return magnificent and strangely inspirational, much like the prow of the ice-bound ship on the cover of the album.  Full text...

InsidePulse Rating: 7.0

They sound like Rammstein; Industrial-prog metal. If you like Ministry and old Nine Inch Nails, you'll dig this.  Full text...

Jam! Rating: 6.0

Berlin's Rammstein has spent the last decade frightening the rest of the world with their dark, assaultive rock. True, it's become more refined and diverse, over the years, especially on their latest release Rosenrot, but still angry.  Full text...

Aversion Rating: 6.0

Maybe Rammstein's tired of being that spooky band in studded leather. Maybe it's reached the end of its patience for hard-hitting arrangements. Maybe it's just ready for a bit of a change.  Full text...

ReleseMagazine.com Rating: 6.0

They sound very much like the pompous industrial techno metal which Rammstein perfected on "Sehnsucht" and then grinded on with on "Mutter" and "Reise Reise" – and I, for one, don’t want more of the same.  Full text...

IndieLondon Rating: 5.0

Overall, Rosenrot is an average album if you’re into the German Industrial Rock band, full of 'Reise, Reise leftovers'.  Full text...

Metal Storm Rating: 5.0

A band should be able to live up to their legacy and Rammstein is totally unable to do this on "Rosenrot". Instead, it seems like they are trying to pretend that they are indeed still this superbly original and unique band from Germany that is ready to take on the whole world.  Full text...

They've got all the tools to carry on making excellent music, but they don't seem to be using them fully at the moment.  Full text...

what can I say, the album is the best, its music is slow but I like it, specially wo bist du and don't die before I do, I love this songs, but I love others songs like du riechst so gut, engel, adios, ich will... any way I love thieir music because they sing for everything: love, sex, politic, and music, I wouldn't change this great band, don't give it up guys you're the best!!!
because you're very original. till with his strong voice, Richard and Paul with the their guitars make sounds of the other planet, oliver and his bass is very quit but he plays very good, flake and his keyboards make the music be diferent in his hands, and chistoph with his drums make rammstein be the only one in the rock planet, more easy, they are excellent band, I'have been listening since they made their first album HERZELEID and I love it... don't change the style guys, 10/10..

there are no ways to express the awsomeness of Rammstein

I love rammstein. I made 1400 km to see them when they realeased Sehnsucht. Rosenrot = Heartbreaking.
This is the worst album i bought in the last 5 years, and the fact that it came from them makes it even worst.
The rating 1 is for the album cover, the -9 is for the music.

Rammstein continues to be the band i enjoy listening to, everyday. This is an awesome album and i hope they release many more like it

Rosenrot is good. Its significantly different from previous Rammstein albums, but not in a bad way. it has a good blend of overall "slow and powerful" songs such as "Wo Bist Du" and "Spring", but also has the aggresives ones like "Benzin," "Mann Gegan Mann," and "Zerstoren." And of course, it wouldn't be a Rammstein album without the questionable songs like "Te Quiero Puta!" Good. Not as good as Mutter.

Shania Mya Rating: 8.0

I've listened them since "Mutter" and I think they're so awesome. I don't like very much when they sing in another language - it doesn't sound as good as German. "Rosenrot" is really good. I like them and I think they would be better in the future.

I've been a devout Rammstein listener for four years and liked them even before I got my hands on their albums. As always, when I heard the album, I was incredibly happy with the wonder than is Rammstein Songs. While there is always room for improvment, I, personally, think this is the best Rammstein Album yet.

Rammstein is the best thing that could have happened in my love for listening music.

Rosenrot is a very powerful release! as with all the previous Rammstein realeases, their sound takes on subtle changes...all of which i must savor as i bludgeon another victim ! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

This is one of the best albums Rammstein have put out period. Rosenrot is moody, lush and brillant. These men are completly capable of evoking any emotion in the listener that they wish. How do you like your Rammstein? It doesn't really matter because every song on this album is amazing. The guys are extremly talented musicians. No, this is not Mutter, Sehnsuct, or any of the other albums. They have not forgotten who they are or what they are supposed to sound like. Any one wanting the same album over and over can go listen to AC/DC. I prefer to listen to men that can grow and become better song writers. I love this album. My favorite songs are Te Querdo Puta and Mann Gegen Mann...why...because they make me want to close my eyes and sing along. I especially love the drum work on those two songs. The rhythm section is the best in the business. The vocals just keep getting better and better. And as always, what would a Rammstein album be with out those outstanding keyboard and guitar riffs. This band is the best and it would be appropriate to kneel at their feet and worship the Gods of Tanz-Metal.

As any band should, Rammstein is adjusting their music to a newer generation. I know all of their music, and if you compare the sounds of this album to their older ones, you can easily tell there is a change. And it seems to me that it's a change to the better. Their lyrics though are a little less vulger than i would like. oh well ther's nothing i can do about it.

After reading indieLondon's reviews, I was disappointed to read the article (somewhat insulted as a fan) whereas it mentions that german is mainly sung, except for in ''Spring,,. With all due respect, Spring was infact sung in German. It is the song ''Te Quiero P**a!,, that is not in German, and "Stirb Nicht Vor Mir,, was written in German/English.

I personally was pleased, However with the album, they are more melodic and lighter. It's good to see that the band has a lighter side. I really enjoyed Te Quiero Puta, good sound and good job Till!!!! He and Rammstein are amazing alone for being a German band and recording a spanish song! That's interesting.. Moskau is a good example too, with Russian, but Till can speak Russian, so it makes sense.
May be interesting to hear a song recorded in French for their upcoming album (if there is one).

Rammstein introduced me to metal with 'Asche Zu Asche', when they performed it at the Big Day Out in 2001. Everyone who listens to Rammstein knows they have evolved from the band that made waves by Till singing songs in burning jackets. 'Rosenrot' is the evolution that was expected from them in terms of lyrics, sound and overall effect to the listener, and it shows straight away from their album artwork (which is freakin' sweet) and the fact that they did Te Quiera Puta!, which is in Spanish. They have become so much better than the so-called Master Race they apparently tried to be when they did their first video. Mann Gegen Mann, Rosenrot, Zerstoren and Te Quiera Puta are the standout songs on an awesome album. If only they could make an album with eleven songs that are as good as Ich Will and Keine Lust...

All around, awesome, and it's why I love Rammstein the best!!!

I dont care who you are, this album is just plain great. It is still heavy but they have expanded to a little bit softer stuff to. I think it sounds excellent and you should not be worried, they are just as edgy as ever.
