Definitely their best album since 1990's Seasons In The Abyss, Slayer have come back out on top of their game.

On Christ Illusion, the first album to feature all four original members since 1990's Seasons in the Abyss, the veteran trash-metalheads launch political and social hand grenades such as "Jihad," "Flesh Storm" and "Supremist," all delivered with a barrage of head-banging riffs and double-time rhythm.

At almost 40 minutes, the length and pacing are perfect, and production quality is hard to complain about. Classic Slayer fans should easily find solace here; anyone else can just expect basic, well-executed but relatively uninspired thrash metal.

SLAYER!!!!! Seriously though, it's not a bad record and somehow avoids sounding really dated. It's not adventurous either, but you pretty much know what you're getting into if you're considering picking up this record.
