"Ta-Dah" is "Scissor Sisters" complicated evil twin; less obviously addictive, but far harder to shake once it's taken hold.

As with their first album, however, Elton John remains the sun around which Scissor Sisters merrily orbit. Far from being put out by the relentless comparisons, Shears has dealt with the situation by becoming mates with Elton and getting him to appear on two songs.

Ta-Dah sounds like a band in rude health: Transistor suggests they could survive even when the bulbs in the disco lights blow and the tinsel begins to tarnish.

Scissor Sisters' eponymous debut album was the UK's biggest selling record of 2004. As tall orders come, topping a record that has so far shifted 2.4 million copies in the UK alone would be a sky-high challenge for anyone. But with lead single and opening track I Don't Feel Like Dancin' giving the Sisters their first singles chart number one, the scene is set for their unstoppably triumphant return.

After their first album we expected something extraordinary. Unfortunately Ta-Dah, for all its minor joys, doesn't deliver. The pressure is only going to grow on that third album.

It may be the sickest good-time album ever made, a guilty pleasure indeed.

Ta-Dah is disco that could have been designed by that guy Kayne on Project Runway - all pageant-queen razzle-dazzle in the vein of their 2004 hit, the Elton John homage "Take Your Mama."

A blast of dazzling color and sass! A guarenteed winner, with the same original Scissor Sisters power! |

It makes me forget who I am, where I live, and what year it is. If that's not magic, I don't know what is... |

The more you listen to it the more you get addicted to it. Great lyrics, great music. I hope the third album one will be even better! |

On Inital listens it appears less addictive than the debut....however over time it reveals itself to be even more enduring. The Album peaks early with their finest moment yet.... the nostagically sad yet irresistably funky Night Fever strut of future No 1 'lights'. Surely this will be the 3rd single! |

They sound alot like Elton John. That is a big plus. Very addictive. The lyrics could be better. But they make beautiful harmony with their voices. |
