It takes a few listens for some of the tracks to sink in and there's no "Back For Good", but it's a heart-warming album that fans will love.

It's funny how nostalgia can play funny tricks on you. If you were over 18, male and straight in the early '90s, then the chances are that you hated Take That. You hated the cutesy media image (ooh look, it's the cute one, it's the cheeky one, it's the one who writes the songs), you hated the fact that they were a manufactured boy band who topped the charts while Nirvana were slaying the rest of the world, and you hated the fact that they were unashamedly pop music.

It's exactly what you'd have expected, if not what you'd have hoped for.

As a pop album this rules; choruses you could shelter a family of ten under, ballads and more hooks than a key cutters convention but the production swamps the sound, making everything sound samey and there is a whiff of the theatre about the whole thing. Maybe it's not for you but your mam will love it.

The overall result is an album that occasionally surprises but mostly does what’s expected. It’s nowhere near as bad as I had been anticipating but never once fails to become anything other than merely pleasant in places.

For all Beautiful World's polish, it's hard not to think that Take That might have lost something fundamental to their appeal along the way.

So it’s a huge disappointment that this reunion album is such a drearily heterosexual affair: bog-standard dadrock that exchanges the whiff of amyl nitrate for Horlicks and Radox.

Excellent! All the lads took part as lead vocals, as they never did in the previous albums. The songs quite remind me with Beatles' songs, especially Shine and What You Believe In. Mark did well on these tracks. He also took part as lead vocal in Hold On. Gary's still doing fabulous in ballad, such as I'd Wait for Life and their first single from the album, Patience. He's powerful voice also bring Like I Never Loved You At All, Ain't No Sense of Love and Reach Out alive! Kinda bring my memory back to ten years ago, while i was young and stupid ^_^ Jason played his old guitar in Wooden Boat, which is to me, a very sentimental song. Howard gave her daughter chance to sing in Mancunian Way. This song reflects their ten years waiting of the come back, and they did! You can also hear his voice in Beautiful World, which was chosen to be the title of the album. Well, as for this time, "FORTUNATELY, the rumors are true ^_^" Welcome back Lads ^_* The bottom line is, for you the real Thatter, this long awaited album is AWESOME!

The track "hold-on" sounds like a slight rip-off of U2's peace on earth... |

Ace album. Very surprising considering they are now known as a 'man' band instead of a boy-band. They never fail to deliver fantastic track after fantastic track. |

This is a fantastic album. As a thirty something straight male I'm not ashamed to say so. Beautiful World is a different level to anything Take That have done before they've matured and the result is an incredible album without any real weakness. You have to hand Take That their dues , after ten years off they have not only returned with appeal they have also moved to a different level. The amount of guys I know that like the new Take That is amazing considering they wouldn't have done a decade ago. |

I LOVE Take That, I wasn't keen on their Nobody Else album as it was a huge let-down on all the non-single released songs but WOW! This album is so classy and mature, I can't convey just how much I love their new sound!!! |

Take That are simply amazing! I must admit, I wasn't too keen on them when they fisrt came out, I think that Robbie Williams is an absoloute 'Slime-Ball'! I was also too young to realy pick up on music. But now they are back I've become realy attached to their music. They're absoloutley brilliant! They have a new mature sounding music, and as I'm writing this, I'm listening to this album. I love it! What can I say? I just can't sum it up! Amazing album lads! xxxCharlixxx |

Take That are back and BETTER! I love this album. No matter how many times you listen to 'Patience' You can never get sick of it. Its the only album I have heard and I like every song on it. P.S. Robbie couldn't make it any better. |

I'm happy because It was a good return with an excellent album. It seems all their professionalism through all those solo careers. The only sad thing is the absence of rob,but It's justified for his excelent solo career. |

this is such an amazing album, my fave songs are Shine, Patience, Beautiful World and Mancunian Way but I do just love the whole album. I'm so glad Take That are back and they are so much better without Robbie, he was just a stuck up show off and no where near as talented as the rest of them!!!!! |
