Next time you hear that major record labels lack courage consider this: EMI is currently attempting to rehabilitate the musical career of Yoko Ono. It's a task that Sisyphus would consider a bit of a schlep. You could find a more widely vilified rock and pop artist, but you'd need to know the visiting hours at Phuoc Co prison first.

Apples in Stereo, Flaming Lips and Polyphonic Spree work their psychedelic pop magic on Nobody Sees Me Like You Do, Cambridge 1969/2007 and You and I, respectively. But the key track might be the centrepiece title cut, where The Brother Brothers set Ono's confrontational lyrical manifesto against aggressive metallic rock. "I'm gonna stick around for quite a while," proclaims Ono.

Yoko Ono has released a remix album called Yes, I’m A Witch featuring many renowned musical artists from today’s music scene. The neat concept of this album is that the artists only chose Yoko’s vocals and created entirely new backing tracks to show how versatile her songs can be. The songs range from the late '60s and also include her solo material in the '70s and '80s.
